Spanish Fork cleaning up accident after semi loses lunch in crash

SPANISH FORK, Utah – Roads are closed after a rollover accident involving two semi trucks and another car Monday.

Officials said one lane is open in each direction at SR 6 and Canyon Rd.

Authorities said one person was injured and is being treated at the hospital for a minor head wound.

Crews said a car pulled out in front of an eastbound semi which hit the car.

Another semi going westbound had to swerve to miss the accident.

The overturned semi was carrying French fries, the other is transporting furniture.

UDOT said all lanes should be open again by Monday afternoon.

    Drivers need to give semis more space than they and stop trying to cut them off or pull in front of them thinking they are slower than they really are. In a match between car and semi, the semi wins every time.

    Some of the facts on this article are wrong/missing. Another vehicle was blocking the view of the driver in the passenger car. The injury was not a head wound but a laceration to the arm.

    Kudos to the driver of the C.R. England truck for responding in a way that avoided any fatalities.
