Police respond to home invasion robbery in Murray

MURRAY, Utah – Police responded to a home invasion robbery at an apartment complex Sunday morning.

Sgt. Paul Christiansen of the Murray Police Department said the incident occurred at Brickgate Apartments, 167 W. 4400 South, at about 10:36 a.m.

Police said three people kicked in the front door of an apartment and made their way into the back room of a home, looking for drugs and or money.

Police said five people were in the residence at the time. One of the occupants was asleep and two were non-aggressors. Police said the other two occupants were assaulted by the suspects and suffered minor injuries.

The suspects fled with three cell phones, a wallet and some money. Police said the incident is under investigation. Descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available.
