Hands-free device sales up as distracted driving law takes effect

SALT LAKE CITY - Since the new distracted driving law went into effect on Tuesday, hundreds of Utahns have been caught red-handed.

Troopers say they're just issuing warnings for now as drivers become aware of the new hands-free law.

In the meantime, cell phone stores across the Wasatch Front are selling out of hands-free devices.
