SALT LAKE CITY–Power in parts Utah was slowly being restored to Rocky Mountain Power customers after a widespread outage Sunday.
Approximately 1,114 customers are without power as of 9:30 p.m., down from 6,652, according to the power company’s website.
The National Weather Service said that heavy snow caused downed power lines and trees in the area.
It is unknown when full power will be restored in Cedar City.
A power outage was also reported in Centerville, and as of 9:30 p.m. about 1,964 customers in zip code 84014 were without power. Power was expected to be restored in that area by midnight.
Power has been restored to customers in New Harmony and Kanarraville.
Approximately 1,069 customers were affected.
Power in Panguitch has been restored. Approximately 605 customers were affected.
