Olympus High student finalist in ‘Doodle 4 Google’ contest

HOLLADAY, Utah -- A  student at Olympus High School is in the running to have her art on the Google homepage.

Google announced the 50 state winners in the seventh annual Doodle 4 Google competition, Tuesday.

Sophomore Bronte Mock is among those finalists.

The contest was open to students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade across the nation.

The student who wins gets to redesign the Google logo inspired by the theme “If I could invent one thing to make the world a better place…”

Mock’s doodle is “30-Day Plastic.”

The public vote will determine the final five national finalists, which will be announced Ma21 at an awards ceremony at Google headquarters in Mountain View, Calif.
