SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake City Police plan more security measures around one downtown park.
Police officials were at Pioneer Park Friday to introduce “Operation Safe Cam.”
The program allows anyone in the area with a security camera system to link up with Salt Lake Police over the Internet so detectives can easily review video if crime occurs and one of the police or park security cameras didn’t capture the act.
The concept was launched by police, local business leaders and advocates for the homeless, who say it should help clean up the area and better help those who are truly in need of services.
Fox 13's Scott McKane has the story above.
