ONTARIO, Ohio — A woman who was captured on camera while taking a stuffed animal from the grave of a young child has reportedly turned herself into police, and the camera was set up after the parents of “Tank” suffered years of thefts from their son’s grave.

The child’s family shared their story, see the video above for the interview.

FOX 8 in Cleveland reports Frieda Kay Shade of Mansfield turned herself into police after video of the incident was circulated on social media; Shade told police she had removed the stuffed animal to protect it from dogs.

Police had set up the surveillance camera after the parents of Hayden “Tank” Cole Sheridan, who died when he was 14-months-old, approached them about thefts that occurred at the grave site since about 2009. FOX 8 reports the camera was set up in 2012, but it wasn’t until recently a clear image of a person taking an item was captured.
