SALT LAKE CITY --An event will allow Utahns to recycle everything from cell phones to printers to microwaves in a safe and environmentally friendly way.
Ayrel Clark-Proffitt from the University of Utah's Resource Center and Eric Michaels came to the FOX 13 News Studio to discuss the importance of recycling electronics as well as Friday's event.
The event will be held at the University Services Building, 1795 S. Campus Drive, from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday.
Metech Recycling will be collecting the electronic waste, and the effort is part of a partnership between them and the Sustainability Resource Center, UIT and the Salt Lake Valley Health Department.
