Help offered to Utahns signing up for health insurance

SALT LAKE CITY — The deadline for open enrollment in the federal marketplace for health insurance created under the Affordable Care Act is today,  though the deadline has been extended for people with complex situations.

Arches Health Plan in Utah is offering help to people who may need someone to walk them through the health insurance process.

You can call Arches from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Their number is (801) 770-1808. You can also click here to visit their website.

The Utah Health Policy Project, United Way and Utah Association for Community Health have navigators trained at locations around the state. Click here to visit their website. Just type in your zip code to find experts nearby.

Healthcare.gov is another option. The website was reportedly having issues Monday morning,but they will take calls at 1-800-318-2596.

The deadline to at least start the registration process is 9:59 p.m. tonight.
