WSU play ‘Mockingbird’ to showcase autism awareness

OGDEN -- Autism awareness has been heightened for the past few years.

The collaboration between a Utah author, a playwright and Weber State University’s Department of Performing Arts is taking that awareness one step further by taking the message of autism education to the stage.

WSU actors tell the story of 12-year-old Caitlin, an autistic student, in a play based on the book called “Mockingbird,” written by Kathryn Erskin.

When: Show opens Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and runs ‘til April 5. There will be nightly showings at 7:30 p.m. and matinee performances at 2 p.m. on Saturdays. On April 2 there will also be a performance 10 a.m.
