DRAPER, Utah – After months of anticipation, The Loveland Living Planet Aquarium is opening their new, larger location.

A  celebration was held at the aquarium Saturday night, and the aquarium will open its doors to the public on Tuesday.

The 44,000 square-foot center is about three times larger than the old location and will feature a greater variety of plants, animals and exhibits.  Suzy Broadbent, the aquarium’s director of marketing and public relations, said the increased size means they can do more.

"We anticipate, because of the size of this facility, that we will be able to support more visitors, more students, more kids that are wanting to learn about Earth's diverse ecosystem, so we hope to really capture more minds and inspire them to learn about this,” she said.
