NORTHERN UTAH -- Several towns in Box Elder and Cache counties are feeling overwhelmed by hordes of wild turkeys.

Officials with the Division of Wildlife Resources have been dealing with damage claims in Cache County, and some neighborhoods in Mantua have been overtaken by as many as 100 turkeys, who destroy crops and gardens as well as taint cattle feed.

DWR officials have been trapping the birds and relocating them to other parts of the state. Officials said the birds can weigh more than 20 pounds and can be aggressive.
