SALT LAKE CITY -- Clean energy enthusiasts expect lawmakers to pass bills in support of clean energy by the end of the week.

Sarah Wright, with Utah Clean Energy, thinks the bills, which are now awaiting approval by the Senate, will pass without a problem.

Wright was at up at the Capitol Monday pushing legislation that supports electric cars, solar power and power rates.

“There’s a heightened awareness about the air quality issues, and of course clean energy helps it -- but it also brings economic development and I think our legislature is seeing renewable energy is just like any other energy source,” Wright said.

Several businesses were also up on the Hill showing their support for the bills.
