LOGAN — A motel clerk was bound with duct tape during a robbery early Monday morning, according to Logan Police.

At approximately 3:38 a.m. police responded to the Super 8 Motel, 865 S. Main St., to find the clerk in the office area. He was uninjured but visibly distressed, police stated.

Two men in dark-hooded sweatshirts and masks reportedly entered the motel – one pointed a handgun, which appeared to be a semi-automatic, at the victim and told him to get on the floor.

The clerk’s hands were then bound with duct tape.

The suspects located an undisclosed amount of money then fled the building going west, police stated.

Both men were reportedly described as white with slim-medium builds.

The first suspect was reportedly 5 feet and 10 inches tall, wore a green mesh camouflage face mask and a black hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect was reportedly 6 feet and 1 inch tall, wore a black mesh face mask and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.

Those with information on these men have been asked to call Det. Darin Cook with Logan Police Department at 435-716-9300.
