DRAPER, Utah – Officials with The Living Planet Aquarium said they are excited to be moving to their new location in Draper, and a slew of new species will be diving into Utah waters.

Suzy Broadbent is the marketing director for the Living Planet Aquarium, and she said the new species include zebra sharks from Australia.

"We have lots of new sharks - they're so unique looking, nobody has seen anything like this in Utah,” she said.

Deana Walz is the aquarium’s director of animal husbandry, and she said they are taking advantage of the new facility’s potential.

"The reason we're bringing so many animals into the new facility is because it is three times larger,” Walz said.

The new species include sharks, fish, reptiles and even birds.

"We've had animals that have been brought in from other countries so that our guests can experience such a diverse range of all this marine life,” Broadbent said.

The new center, with its array of new species, will be open in February. For more information, visit the aquarium's website.
