It has been a while since my last blog update, as there is always lot going on during the holidays. Christmas and New Year’s was great because I got to spend time with family from near and far. There was, of course, lots of baking and lots of food.
I was worried about gaining weight over the holidays, which some of you may think is impossible due to my portion size—but it is possible if I don’t work out and follow the rules of my diet.
I am proud to report that I lost 15 pounds over the holidays, and that brings my total weight loss to 135 pounds to date. I am 15 pounds away from my goal weight of 300, which I have been hoping to reach by February 2: the one year anniversary of my surgery.
Doctors Cottam and Richards operated on me for 90 minutes, but the changes are literally permanent with adherence to the plan set in place. I am indebted to them for giving me a new lease on life.
Thank you all for your ongoing support, and I wish you well with your New Year’s resolutions, whatever they may be. Click here to follow my Losing for Life journey from the very beginning.
