WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A modular home was completely destroyed after a water heater sparked a fire Thursday morning.

West Valley City firefighters responded to the fire around 2 a.m. at 3309 South Eastcrest Road.

Crews were able to contain and extinguish the fire within 20 minutes. Investigators said the fire was caused from a water heater that was left on after the water to the unit was turned off. They said the home is a complete loss.
