Distracted man hit by FrontRunner train

ROY, Utah -- A man is recovering in the hospital after he was hit by a FrontRunner train Tuesday morning.

Utah Transit Authority spokesman Remi Barron said the man was looking down at something and not paying attention as he was crossing onto the platform-- where he was struck by an approaching FrontRunner train.

The man was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with several leg and arm injuries.

FOX 13 will update this story with more details as soon as they become available.

    Ouch. Maybe UTA should make it more clear that the tracks are off-limits to pedestrians except at crossings. Or people should pay more attention.

    You people on here need to get a life! and have a heart. I know this man and he is a wonderful dad to 3 young boys and 1 girl. You have no right to judge and say anything about his situation! You don’t know what he is going through or his family. I am praying that he makes a full and fast recovery. Have some compassion. It infuriates me that someone could write such judgmental and mean things.
