PARK CITY, Utah - Film lovers from around the world are finalizing plans for their visit to Utah as organizers for the Sundance Film Festival are busy getting everything ready for the event.

During the festival, 22 screens across northern Utah will show films from around the world, which takes place Jan. 16-26.

This week, crews started construction on this year's venues, getting them ready for the festival.

"We take a basketball court and turn it into a 550 seat theater, take a hotel ballroom and turn it to about a 300 seat theater, another hotel ballroom seats about 325, so we do some major transformations of spaces," said John Stevenson, senior production manager for the Sundance Film Festival.

The annual event brings in around 45,000 people and $70 million to Utah's economy.
