It is a week away from Christmas, and the conversation of gifts came up at dinner. My 9-year-old son said that he was grateful for the gift I gave our family last February by undergoing surgery to have a better quality of life and chance at greater longevity.
I did a little to help someone else out by donating blood at the Reach Out Utah Holiday Blood Drive, and FOX 13 News was one of the event’s sponsors. It was my first time doing what they call double blood donation.
I had the opportunity to hang out with Jazz Bear and Santa at the Larry H. Miller & Robert C. Bowden Christmas Carole Sing Along, along with thousands of Utahns feeling the Christmas spirit. I even had a Clearfield High School cheerleader stand on my shoulders.
I need to seriously consider get the spur on my heel looked at and fixed. The pain after four days of working out forces me to put on the isolation boot, and that’s never good.
Other than that, I continue to feel good and discover new body movements that I have forgotten were there. Thank you Doctors Cotttam and Richards, BMI, Salt Lake Regional Hospital, family, friends and all of you for the push and support during this journey!
