SANPETE COUNTY — An Orangeville couple was killed Thursday after colliding with a truck near Axtell, officials said.

At approximately 4:40 p.m. Ken Stilson, 69, and Kathleen Stilson, 69, were traveling north in a Dodge Caravan in Sanpete County on State Route 89 near mile marker 234. Utah Highway Patrol officials said Ken Stilson lost control of his vehicle after drifting off the roadway and correcting back.

Ken Stilson ended up crossing into southbound lanes and hit a Silverado Chevrolet traveling south nearly head on, officials said.

The truck went off the road to the west then rolled on its side. The van came to rest in the southbound lane.

The driver of the truck was transported to Gunnison Hospital.
