EMERY COUNTY, Utah – Utah State Parks investigators have submitted their report regarding former Boy Scout leaders who filmed themselves toppling a rock formation at Goblin Valley State Park, and criminal charges could be forthcoming.

David Hall and Glenn Taylor posted the video on the Internet, and many were outraged by the destruction of the ancient formation.

The Emery County Attorney’s Office has received the report and will now decide if criminal charges should be filed against the men. Hall and Taylor said they toppled the rock due to safety concerns. Legislators have proposed a new law aimed at protecting national parks in response to the incident.
