EUGENE, Ore.  — Utah played with Oregon for a few quarters, but the No. 6 ranked Ducks pulled away in the second half to beat the Utes 44 to 21.

The Utes were without starting quarterback Travis Wilson. He didn’t make the trip to Eugene because of a concussion.

Backup Adam Schulz threw for 181 yards and a touchdown, and he also ran for a touchdown in the third quarter to cut Oregon’s lead to 17-14. But the Ducks then scored 27 straight points to put the game out of reach.

Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Ducks to the win.

The Utes fall to 4-6, and 1-6 in the PAC 12. They must win their final two games of the season against Washington State and Colorado to become bowl eligible.
