OGDEN –Harrison Boulevard is partially open after a gas leak closed the roadway for most of Saturday morning.

One lane in both directions has been open to motorists, according to a tweet from the Utah Department of Transportation.

Fire crews responded to a natural gas leak at 4723 Harrison Boulevard at 2:53 a.m.

A water company attempted to fix a water line when they struck the natural gas service line. Ogden Fire crews performed air monitoring and fire protection measures while Questar Gas repaired the line.

The gas leak occurred in a commercial area — there were no evacuations required.

Roads were closed between 4600-4800 South.
