PROVO, Utah – A Brigham Young University student and his friend have been giving back to those less fortunate than themselves, and videos of their efforts have gone viral.

Kyle Oreffice, 18, came up with an idea to help homeless individuals, and he teamed up with BYU student Josh Gibson to create the YouTube channel Give Back Films.

The groups first video, “Giving $100 to Homeless People” went viral and has amassed about 1.8 million views. See below for the video.

Gibson said they hope their efforts help people improve their lives.

"A lot of them just had bad luck and made a few mistakes along the way, but it's not our place to judge and we're super happy to be able to help them out, with our intentions that maybe they'll turn that around and say, ‘Yeah maybe I'll use this money for good,’ and hopefully we'll be able to make their lives a little bit better."
