Big Budah’s blog: Noshavember and a ‘ghetto-medy’

It was another difficult week, as I wasn’t able to have any physical activity due to my stupidity, and, as I like to call it, ghetto-medy—that is a ghetto remedy of me trying to numb my foot by incorrectly using a can of compressed air (Please don’t try it: it’s dangerous).

My ankle has some bruising still, and the wound is healing up nicely. I should be back to walking and running normally by next week.

Today is the first full week of Noshavember for me. I don’t shave my facial hair for the entire month of November in remembrance and honor of my father Lisona Ieti Te’o, who lost his life to prostate and colon cancer—both of which are preventable if detected early enough.

Unfortunately, Dad’s life, or end of rather, serves as a constant reminder for me and my family to be current on prostate checks and colonoscopies. Here’s to finishing up the year strong.
