(FOX 8)– Many offensive Halloween costumes are surfacing on the internet, but one woman says her family is receiving death threats after she sparked a cyber outrage.

According to the Huffington Post, 22-year-old Alicia Ann Lynch went as a Boston Marathon bombing victim. In a picture posted on Twitter and Instagram, Lynch wore a running shirt and shorts along with a marathon ‘bib’ and had bruises and scrapes on her legs, arms and face.

Lynch’s Twitter account has been suspended. She later wrote that she had lost her job over the costume.

Lynch’s costume isn’t the first one this year to make light of a horrible tragedy. Other costumes have surfaced, including some dressed as Asiana Airlines pilots and others as Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman.
