Utah’s offense struggles in 19-3 loss to USC

LOS ANGELES — USC held the Utah offense to 201 total yards, and the Trojans forced four turnovers in a 19-3 win over the Utes on Saturday.

Travis Wilson started at quarterback for the Utes, but he was replaced twice in the game after completing just five of his 14 passes for 51 yards and two interceptions.

Adam Schultz replaced Wilson at quarterback just before the half with Utah trailing 13-3, but his first pass was intercepted.  Wilson started the second half, but Schultz replaced him again in the third quarter. Schultz completed seven of his 17 passes for 79 yards and one interception.

USC turned Utah’s four turnovers into 16 points.

Utah’s defense held the Trojans to just 260 yards and one touchdown to keep the Utes in the game.

Utah is now 4-4 overall and 1-4 in the PAC-12.
