OGDEN, Utah – Police are searching for two alleged con artists who fooled a woman into giving them $10,000.

Police said a 40-year-old woman approached another female and told her she needed money to pay for her husband’s medical bills.

The suspect, pictured above along with the other suspect, offered the victim a bar of metal she said was made of gold and worth $20,000. The victim bought the bar for $10,000, only to discover later it was made of brass.

Police said the scam is similar to several incidents that took place earlier this year, where two Latina women used fake diamonds to scam several other Latina women.
