WEBER COUNTY, Utah — Police have caught and arrested a suspect involved in a high-speed chase that crossed state lines.

Brodey Brown, 26, was arrested by police Tuesday in Weber County.

On Monday, a routine traffic stop escalated into a northbound chase where police said Brown exceeded 100 miles per hour in an attempt to get away.

The chase ended once Brown reached the Idaho border, but Brown returned to Utah and his car was identified by Utah Highway Patrol troopers.

Officers said Brown likely ran away from authorities because he is wanted on multiple drug and weapons charges.
