Petition to arrest GOP leaders for sedition in connection with shutdown goes viral

A new petition on that calls for GOP leaders to be arrested for sedition for their role on the government shutdown has gone viral.

The petition had more than  32,000 signatures as of Thursday night.

The petition statement reads as follows: “I call on the Justice Department of the United States of America to arrest Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Speaker of the House John Boehner, and other decision-making House Republican leaders for the crime of seditious conspiracy against the United States of America.”

The petition creator, Marc Belisle, indicated in the description the petition is meant to be delivered to the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate and President Barack Obama.

The petition description indicated the government shutdown was the basis of the complaint. Click here to view the petition in its entirety.

    So failing to do as King Obama instructs is now the definition of “sedition”?


    Can we arrest Obama for doing and saying exactly the same stuff in 2006 when Bush was President, or has the statute of limitations expired? Because the roles were reversed then, along with the rhetoric.

    Democrats and Republicans are just two heads of the same hydra. They pander to different voters with their words, but they actually DO exactly the same things.
