Crane tips over into downtown business

SALT LAKE CITY — A crane crashed into a building in downtown Salt Lake City this afternoon, fire officials said.

The crane tipped over into the business of Global Consulting International, 120 S. 300 East at approximately 2 p.m., said Salt Lake City Fire spokesman Jasen Asay. There were no injuries reported but fuel is leaking from the piece of equipment.

The building was evacuated while crews worked to lifted the crane from the building.
