City Requiring Trick or Treat Wristband

(FOX 8)— Halloween is right around the corner, and new rules are in place in one Pennsylvania borough.

MyFoxPhilly reported that children in York are required to wear wristbands while trick-or-treating. Children who don’t live in the borough won’t be able to get a wristband, so they can’t collect candy there.

The idea came about after the borough experienced chaos last Halloween.

Residents said they saw more trick-or-treaters than ever before.

The idea is to give homeowners an option: if the child doesn’t have a band, they don’t get candy.
