PROVO, Utah — Police are investigating a cyber bullying incident that involves a “whore list” believed to have been posted by a high school student on Instagram.

Officials said they were contacted Wednesday by a parent with a student at Timpview High School who said there was a post that made sexually derogatory comments about several girls at the school.

Lt. Matthew Siufanua of the Provo Police Department  said the comments were shocking.

“The list is called a whore list, and on the site, they do call a few of the individuals those derogatory names,” he said. “I think it’s shocking.  If I was a father or one of these parents, I would be shocked, and it would affect me deeply.”

Police and school officials are conducting separate investigations into the incident. Provo Police Department officials asked anyone with information about the list to contact them.
