NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah -- Erin Brockovich will be in Utah this weekend to protest a medical waste facility, which has come under fire after it was caught falsifying documents and emitting more pollution than legally allowed.

Environmental groups and concerned residents have protested at Stericycle in the past, and activists have called on Gov. Gary Herbert to shut the operation down.

North Salt Lake mayor Len Arave came to the FOX 13 News studio Friday to talk about the controversy surrounding Stericycle. Arave said residents and city officials feel Stericycle's current location is not ideal, and Arave said Stericycle officials have informally told him they are considering the possibility of relocating.
