Free entry to national parks for National Public Lands Day Saturday

The National Park Service is celebrating National Public Lands Day with free entrance to all national parks Saturday. The 20th annual event is to encourage people to volunteer on public lands and enjoy the outdoors, according to a press release from the National Park Service.

Volunteers will receive an additional one-day pass for free entry to any participating federal public land to use anytime within the year.Other federal agencies will waive fees, including the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Forest Service.

Participating parks are the following:

Arches National Park – Moab

Bryce Canyon National Park – Bryce Canyon

Canyonlands National Park – Moab

Capitol Reef National Park – Torrey

Zion National Park – Springdale
