WASHINGTON COUNTY — A body found in the Virgin River earlier this month has been identified as Rockville woman Mary Soper.

Police discovered Soper’s body Sept. 12. She was reported missing two days earlier.

Police are still investigating how Soper got into the water. So far there are no signs of foul play.

It appears Soper’s body floated 30 miles down the river before it was discovered, police said.
