SALT LAKE CITY – A non-profit bike share program is offering up a day of free bike use on September 24.

For 24 hours, GREENbike users can enter the code “123” at any of the 12 downtown stations to use a bike for free.

Officials with GREENbike said the share system is being used more than programs in some larger cities with more expansive programs. They said they plan to add more bikes and stations next spring.
