SALT LAKE CITY -- An unusual estate sale will get underway in Salt Lake City next week for deceased actors Oscar and Beverly Rowland.
The couple died three years ago, and family members have finally sifted through their collections.
The couple appeared in numerous television shows and movies ranging from horror flicks to “Touched by an Angel.” Items left behind by the couple will go up for sale next weekend, and the couple had quite an eclectic collection.
The couple lived colorful lives; they owned a grocery store, a gift shop and a restaurant in addition to being actors. Family member Tiffany Rowland Morris said the couple appeared in various films.
“Grandma, I believe, was in ‘Halloween 5’ when it was filmed here,” she said. “Grandpa was in ‘Silent Night, Deadly Night.’”
Morris also said her grandparents appeared in TV shows like “Promised Land” and “Touched by an Angel.”
“Any time you turned on the TV you might see grandma and grandpa, you didn't know,” she said.
Aside from the collected odds and ends, Morris also said they found other surprises, like $87,000 in royalty checks.
“Uncashed checks which, sadly, SAG will no longer honor,” she said.

The Rowland estate sale will be Sept. 6-8, and it will be located at 1058 E. Third Ave.
