MILLCREEK, Utah – Police have located a vehicle they believe was involved in a hit-and-run accident Tuesday, and the victim remains in critical condition.

The accident happened Tuesday morning when a 43-year-old woman was riding a bicycle in the area near 2300 East and 3700 South.

Police located a gray Acura that has front-end damage and a temporary sticker, like the one pictured in surveillance video of the accident. The vehicle was located after someone called to report it had been abandoned at 4581 S. Aspen Hollow Lane, which is a few miles away from the site of the accident.

Lt. Justin Hoyal, Unified Police Department, said they are looking over the vehicle and working to locate the suspect.

“Our officers went out, located that vehicle, found that it does have the damage that would be consistent with this accident that we have been investigating,” he said. “That vehicle was then taken and booked into our evidence, where our detectives are now processing that vehicle and continuing the search for the suspect or the driver whose responsible for this accident.”

The injured cyclist remains in critical condition. FOX 13 News will have more information as it becomes available.
