OGDEN, Utah — If you live in Ogden, there’s a good chance you might be a cheapskate.

That’s according to a new list released by business website Kiplinger.com.

The website has created a list of the “Top 10 Best Cities for Cheapskates,” and Ogden has claimed the No. 2 spot.

So what makes Ogden such a great place for cheapskates?

According to the website, the list was compiled based on the abundance of low-cost activities such as public libraries and museums, the amount of free things to do including concerts and lectures, and the amount thrifty shopping options within the city.

This is what the website has to say about Ogden:

“Low costs plus fat paychecks can add up to big savings in Ogden, the second-smallest city on our list. Ogden residents earn the highest household income of all our cheapskate cities, 18.2% more than the U.S. median. But expenses for housing, groceries and utilities are all below average, and health care costs are the most affordable of all these cities, at 8.8% below average.”

Omaha, Neb. beat out Ogden for the top spot on the list. Ogden was followed by Des Moines, Iowa and Columbus, Ohio.

Salt Lake City also made the list, coming in at No. 7.
