MIDVALE, Utah – More than 200 classic cars were on display in Midvale Saturday as part of Kruisers for Kids’ 19th Annual Charity Car Show.

The event was held at Midvale City Park and featured door prizes, auctions, food and plenty of classic cars.

Proceeds from the event will go toward helping kids at Shriners Hospitals for Children get adaptive bikes and trikes.  Show Coordinator Karen Jensen said the specially made bikes and trikes help the children in several different ways.

“It allows them to socialize with kids in their neighborhood and get out and enjoy the outdoors, something that’s not easy for them to do because they can’t ride a traditional bike, and then it also allows them to get physical therapy that is much-needed for these children with the issues that they have,” she said.

The bikes and trikes can cost up to $2,000. Event organizers said last year the event raised more than $20,000.
