BOUNTIFUL — A suspect in a retail theft in Bountiful was apprehended Monday after receiving a tip from a resident.
The 31-year-old Woods Cross man was wanted in a retail theft at Smith’s Market Place, 555 S. 200 West. The reportedly walked out with a cart full of miscellaneous items totaling less than $500.
A store employee followed the alleged suspect and took a picture of the man with his cellphone.
The suspect was located and taken into custody in Sunset by Adult Probation and Parole agents. The man reportedly admitted to the crime and was charged with one count of retail theft, a third-degree felony.
The Woods Cross man was booked into Davis County Jail.
