Search and rescue crews are looking for a 14-year-old boy who failed to return to his camp in Daggett County.

The teenager was part of a youth camp run by Journey Impact Ranch, a Mona company that specializes in youth behavioral treatment.

The boy was reported missing Thursday when he didn’t return from an overnight solo camp near Spirit Lake. He was described as a runaway in a press release from the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office.

Other members of his group spotted him around 10 a.m. Thursday, but he evaded them, the press release said.

Search and rescue crews from Daggett County and Uintah County will be aided by members of the Journey Impact Ranch and Rocky Mountain Search Dogs as they continue to look for the boy Friday.
