Young girl in stable condition after near drowning

MORGAN COUNTY, Utah — Morgan County officials said a girl was unconscious when she was pulled from the water at East Canyon Resort Wednesday morning.

An East Canyon Resort employee said the 3-year-old girl was at a the pool with her mother when the child turned and went under the water.

Dispatchers said the girl was under the water for fewer than two minutes and has since started breathing again.

The employee said the girl’s brother pulled her from the pool and a woman performed CPR.  A Life Flight helicopter was dispatched to the scene, and the girl is in stable condition.
