2 injured after car hydroplanes, hits tree along I-15

CEDAR CITY, Utah – A man is in serious condition and a woman sustained minor injures in a car wreck on I-15 Saturday evening.

Police said the accident happened at around 6:30 p.m. near mile post 58 on I-15 when a silver Honda Accord traveling northbound began hydroplaning, went off the road and collided with a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old male, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Valley View Hospital in Cedar City via ambulance. The pregnant female passenger, the man’s wife, had minor injuries.
