HARRISVILLE — An 18-year-old cyclist was critically injured Monday morning when he was struck by a car in a Harrisville intersection.

Harrisville Police Chief Max Jackson said Devereax Hallett of South Ogden was struck by a car driven by 38-year-old Jeff Hanes, who ran a red light at the intersection of North St. and Wall Ave.

It is unknown if drugs, alcohol or distracted driving were factors in the crash.

Jackson said no citations would be issued until the investigation was complete.
