Man drowns at Sand Hollow State Park

SOUTHERN UTAH – A man drowned at Sand Hollow State Park Thursday afternoon.

Park Manager Laura Melling confirmed that a 27-year-old man ran into trouble while swimming in the reservoir.

The man was found unconscious by a group of boaters, who tried to revive the man. The victim was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, which is about 20 miles east of Sand Hollow State Park.

The man died at the hospital. His name has not been released.
