LEHI, Utah – Brigham Young confidant and bodyguard Porter Rockwell was born 200 years ago on Friday, and Porter’s Place celebrated with a contest.
Porter’s Place offered up $1,000 for the best Rockwell look-alike, and Scott Barker took home the prize.
Barker said he read about the contest and had been growing his beard out for awhile, so he felt it was a perfect fit.
