ARCHES NATIONAL PARK, Utah – A man visiting from Japan died after he fell near the Delicate Arch Thursday.
Grand County Sheriff’s Office officials said 78-year-old Tsuneo Ohashi was walking by himself when he fell about 60 feet near Delicate Arch.
Ohashi was traveling with a group of other Japanese tourists, who were able to translate for Ohashi and emergency responders. Ohashi was taken to Moab Regional Hospital, where he later died.
